Numerology Tip Of The Week:
Conflicting numbers can create a dissonance within a person unless the various vibrations are fully accepted and embraced.
Three numbers are considered when determining the potential of life-long dissonance. These are the destiny number, the soul's urge number, and the life path number.
The destiny number is the name number.
The soul's urge number is the name vowels number. And the life path number is the birth date number.
For most people, two or all three of those numbers are different.
Many numbers resonate well together. Others don't.
In general, even numbers resonate better with even numbers and odd numbers resonate better with odd numbers. But that's just general. Some odd and even numbers resonate well together.
I'll take myself as an example.
My destiny number is 9.
My soul's urge number is 4. And
my life path number is 5.
The 9 resonates well with any number. However, there is a dissonance with 4 and 5.
The 4 soul's urge number fills me with a desire to stay in one place and build something good for the future, and to accept responsibility for getting it done.
The 5 life path number ensures there will be many changes as I live my life. There is a tendency to try new things immediately when they are thought of and a tendency to choose freedom of action over responsibility.
In real life, I have been a numerologist for over a quarter of a century, always building on my knowledge and experience. With that, I have provided free automated numerology readings on web sites for over a decade. In addition, I have been a professional software programmer for over a decade. That is the 4 soul's urge manifesting.
Even with all that, I have found the freedom to travel and see new places and new people and experience new cultures and learn new things. That is the 5 life path manifesting.

The Expression The Soul Urge Number and the Destiny Number.
In this newsletter, we are going to introduce you to
the four core Numerology readings. These include the
divination of the Life Path Number, The Expression
Number, The Soul Urge Number and the Destiny Number.
Whether you are punching your birthday and full name
into a computer program or asking a numerologist to do
your calculations in person, almost every numerology
report contains these four elements:
* The Life Path Number that is based on your BIRTHDATE
* The Expression Number (sometimes referred to as the
Personality Number, Potential Number and Destiny number)
that is based on ALL THE LETTERS OF YOUR FULL NAME
GIVEN AT BIRTH.
* The Soul Urge Number (sometimes also called the Soul,
Soul Path or Heart's Desire number) that is based on
a reduction of the VOWELS in your full birth name.
* The Destiny Number (sometimes also described as the
Inner Dreams, Inner You or Karmic Number) that is based
on a reduction of the CONSONANTS in your full birth name.
First of all lets look at the divination of the LIFE PATH
NUMBER. The Life Path Number is calculated from assigning a
numeric value (which don't worry! we will provide for you
next week) to your birthday (which must be written out in
long form as in 05/25/1959 as opposed to 05/25/59.)
The Life Path Number is perhaps the most commonly requested
reading of all of the numerology readings as it is the
easiest and fastest to do. It describes your journey through
life and what you can best hope to accomplish.
However simply looking just at your Life path number does not
constitute what I would call a full reading. Even a reading
that consists of just the four core elements is not a complete
analysis as it only describes the most likely projected path
when you are born. It does not take into account special
challenges or potential moments in time when you can use your
free will in order to change what would otherwise be your fate.
The Life Path Number is the sum of your entire birthday
including the year. This number represents whom you were
when you came into this world and the extent of your
potential and limitations physically, psychologically,
spiritually and emotionally.
For instance a number Three may be born into this world
with enormous talents and charisma but according to
traditional numerology may not be able to sustain a
relationship one on one for long because they are so busy
following the calling of a successful career.
However, a number three who also has a Soul Urge Number
of two (which is about finding true love) could meet a
soul mate because they learn to transcend their personal
fears and flaws. This is why it is important to look at
all four of the CORE calculations before you assess a
person's numerology chart.
The next core number you will be learning how to calculate
in this course is THE EXPRESSION NUMBER. This number is
derived from all of the numbers in your full birth name.
Not your married or pen name. It must be the name you were
born with including all of your middle names.
The Expression Number is the number that describes all of
the talents and personal potential that you will have at
your disposal during this lifetime. This is the number that
describes the ideal version of you that can develop if you
make the right choices in life.
Some people are often quite daunted when they first
calculate their Expression number as usually the
interpretation describes ideals that may seem impossible
to attain. Either that or they feel disappointed in

a bell" and they realize that they have achieved their

calculation is that it can be a wake up call that shows
you just how far you have strayed from your heart's desires.

a stockbroker, with a Life Path number of materialistic eight
might have an Expression number of nine, which means despite
accumulated wealth his or her real desire might be to adopt
children or be a philanthropist.
Without the fulfillment of the ideals of their Expression
number in their lives people often feel empty or depressed
no matter how successful they are.
Although you may find it difficult to live up to the
expectations of your Expression number, the reading is

The SOUL URGE NUMBER is calculated from the VOWELS in your
full birth name. The unique interpretation that results
from this number can almost be described as the ethical
measure of who you really are on this earth. It defines
what or whom you value most and describes "what makes you

The Soul Urge Number is a very spiritual reading and the
value of it's calculation is that the resulting interpretation
often points you in the direction of where you can find real
fulfillment in life. By this I mean the "food for your soul"

The Soul Urge number is often revelatory because it also
describes your inner desires as opposed to the limitations

the four core numbers that the readings can be as
contradictory and complex as our personalities.
The fourth core number, the KARMIC NUMBER is arrived at
through the reduction of the consonants in your name.
This is the number that describes your secret fears,
hopes and fantasies. It also represents the mysteries
of the unknown. Some numerologists ascribe this number
as possessing the traits of a person that you were in
another life. At any rate, it describes the individual
that you are on a subconscious level.
The Karmic number also possesses the odd quality of
describing how others might see you as a first impression.
It is considered to be a description of your astral imprint
and what effect it has on other people and situations.
For instance, a nurturing Life Path number six might
strike others as a busybody or interfering character
if his or her Karmic number is number one which is a
number about vainglorious achievement. The Life Path

If you have forgotten all about it, once again, the formula
is:
Convert the month to a single number or a master number
(November stays 11 rather than 2).
Then convert the day of birth to a single digit or master
number.
Next, add the total digits of year and reduce this sum to
a single digit or master number. The individual digits
representing the month, day, and year, be they single digits
or master numbers, are then added together, as necessary to
reduce the sum once again to a single digit 1 through 9, or
to the numerology "master numbers," 11 or 22.
These master numbers, as components of the date or as a
final result, are not reduced any further.
The following interpretations are by no means consummate
descriptions of a life path. I could devote ten pages to each
number. Still this will give you an idea of your destiny in
brief.

Numerology is as old as our most ancient civilization. No one in fact knows the origin of the science of numerology but numbers are spoken of even in the ancient biblical literature and the Hindu mythological texts. As per the present records available, an identifiable history of numerology dates back to the Pythagoras period which runs between 569 and 470 B.C.
Pythagoras, a great sage, mathematician and philosopher of his times from Greece, had established a school in which he taught numerology, among other subjects. According to Pythagoras, the world is built upon the power of numbers and the system of the numbers works on the broader concept that the entire universe is composed of mathematical patterns. It is said that all things can be expressed in numbers which correspond to universal vibrations. Therefore, all things, including names, letters, words, birth dates and birthplaces, can be converted into numerical values in order to determine personalities, destinies and fortunes of individuals.
Though numerology has been in use for hundreds of years in some form or other, it underwent a lot of change in modern times. This lesson discusses the way the numbers exercise their influence, the division of numbers, the numbers of regeneration and mystery, and the natural characteristics of various numbers. The aim of this lesson is to equip you with the proper understanding of general nature, characteristics and behavior of different numbers.
How do the Numbers work?
As already pointed out, advanced numerology is the science of numbers which draw their strengths and weaknesses from the planets, and reflect the same in the lives of the people they affect. Here, two things must be understood clearly:
Planets transmit their characteristics directly to the numbers, and the numbers in turn influence the people. When we study advanced numerology, we are indirectly studying the influence of planets on human beings.

The division of numbers
Numbers are basically divided into three categories:

How do the Numbers work?
As already pointed out, advanced numerology is the science of numbers which draw their strengths and weaknesses from the planets, and reflect the same in the lives of the people they affect. Here, two things must be understood clearly:
Planets transmit their characteristics directly to the numbers, and the numbers in turn influence the people. When we study advanced numerology, we are indirectly studying the influence of planets on human beings.
This means that the numbers act at the behest of planets.
Numbers by themselves are not creative forces. They are a bundle of forces that take commands from the planets in their working on the human beings.One may wonder whether planets can influence human beings at all, be it directly or indirectly. The division of numbers
Numbers are basically divided into three categories:
1 Single digit numbers, such as 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9.
2 Double digit numbers, which denote numbers made up of any two single digit numbers like

The number 0
The number 0 has no value when viewed separately, but when it is put at the side of a single, double, or compound number, the value of that particular number goes up several times and because of this function, 0 is known as the number of infinite value.
Primary numbers
It must be noted that the single digit numbers are also known as the primary, main, or basic numbers and any double or compound number (beginning from 10 or 100 onwards) respectively is the multiplication of some single numbers only. In fact, when you think of primary numbers separately, all the numbers starting from 2 to 9 are the multiplication of the number 1 only, which is the number of origin and creation ( as it stands first among all the primary numbers). When you think along those lines, the number 9 becomes the number of ending and destruction as it is the last one in the series of the primary numbers.
Regeneration and Mystery
The number 9 becomes the number of regeneration, too, as it is the number of destruction. Since everything that is destroyed is bound to reappear in some form or other, number 9, as the number of destruction, is having a peculiar quality of regeneration also.
One can see the power of the number 9 in calculations also. When you multiply any number with the number 9, the net total of digits of the resulting number equals to 9 only. For example multiply 3 with 9 and you will get the sum of 27 which equals to 9 when the two numbers 2 and 7 are added up. As another example, multiply 25 with the number 9, you will get the sum of 225 and it equals to 9 when all the three numbers (2+2+5) are added up.
Middle number:
The number 5 becomes the middle number as it is in the middle of all the primary numbers. It comes after four numbers (1, 2, 3, and 4) and four numbers (6, 7, 8, and 9) follow after it.

Used names are important
You may entertain doubts in you mind as to which name is to be considered for numerical purpose when a person has several names. It must be noted that whatever is the number of names one may posses, the most used name should be considered for the purpose of general numerological study.
The reason is that only pronunciations would carry the power of vibrations and not the written name. The pronunciation of the name of a person or thing is vital. How the name of a person is written is not important.
A person may have different names at different places. For example, take the name of “Sylvia Cochran” again. “Sylvia Cochran” may be called “Sylvia” by family members at home or “Cochran” by colleagues at the work place. Naturally you would be confused as to which one is to be considered for the purpose of calculation.
The answer is very simple. If you study the name in relation to a family issue, consider the name “Sylvia” (used at home), and if you study the name in relation to an issue concerning the work place, consider the name “Cochran” (as used at the work place). This means that you have to take into consideration the name that is used in relation to a particular aspect which is to be studied.
Thus, irrespective of one’s birth name or name mentioned in the school records or in any other official record, only the used name in relation to a particular issue should be considered for the purpose of calculation. Enriched Meanings of Prime Numbers
You are already familiar with the meanings of all the nine prime numbers. Each prime number conveys a particular meaning and has to be understood properly. Let us analyze the numbers one by one. A proper assessment and thorough understanding of these numbers and their real meanings, helps gain command over the topics coming up in the next lesson that deals with Relationship Numerology.

Calculating Numerical Values
In the same way that the numbers represent various planets, everything on this earth represents one of the nine primary numbers. Human beings, countries, cities, towns, streets, houses and places all have their own names, and it is a well-known truth that everything in this world can be expressed in terms of a numerical value. To convert each and everything, including the names of persons, into numerical values, the following two methods are followed:

This method has been producing very accurate results in all respects, and Cheiro could predict very accurately with this method. In my experience, too, this method is turning out to be very accurate.

When you want to study anything in terms of Advanced Numerology, the numerical value of the object, whether it is a person or thing, should be calculated in the above manner.
Used names are important
You may entertain doubts in you mind as to which name is to be considered for numerical purpose when a person has several names. It must be noted that whatever is the number of names one may posses, the most used name should be considered for the purpose of general numerological study.
The reason is that only pronunciations would carry the power of vibrations and not the written name. The pronunciation of the name of a person or thing is vital. How the name of a person is written is not important.
A person may have different names at different places. For example, take the name of “Sylvia Cochran” again. “Sylvia Cochran” may be called “Sylvia” by family members at home or “Cochran” by colleagues at the work place. Naturally you would be confused as to which one is to be considered for the purpose of calculation.
The answer is very simple. If you study the name in relation to a family issue, consider the name “Sylvia” (used at home), and if you study the name in relation to an issue concerning the work place, consider the name “Cochran” (as used at the work place). This means that you have to take into consideration the name that is used in relation to a particular aspect which is to be studied.
Thus, irrespective of one’s birth name or name mentioned in the school records or in any other official record, only the used name in relation to a particular issue should be considered for the purpose of calculation. The next lesson will focus further on relationship numerology, the utility of improvised names, and how they would change one’s life despite the birth name, indicating a defect or problem.
Enriched Meanings of Prime Numbers
You are already familiar with the meanings of all the nine prime numbers. Each prime number conveys a particular meaning and has to be understood properly. Let us analyze the numbers one by one. A proper assessment and thorough understanding of these numbers and their real meanings, helps gain command over the topics coming up in the next lesson that deals with Relationship Numerology.
Number 1Going by its characteristics, it becomes a highly powerful and independent number. It is a number of origin and creation. Double Digit Numbers
It is time for us to study the wider meanings of double digit numbers which play an important role in advanced numerology. In section one of the second lesson, I have already explained what the double digit numbers are, but their wider meanings must be properly understood in order to use them effectively in anybody’s life. Cheiro, the greatest numerologist of all times, explains the deeper meanings of the double digit numbers in the following manner. These meanings proved accurate in the lives of several people, including mine, and I advise you to study this information with perfect concentration.

Lesson 5: Predictive Numerology, Part 1
In the last four lessons we discussed the fundamentals of advanced numerology, the characteristics of numbers, the characteristics of solar months, and the modification of the general characteristics of persons of various numbers, the importance of numerical values, and their meanings.
We will now delve into the world of the predictive and relationship aspects. This lesson focuses on the fundamentals of basic and period numbers, which play key roles in predictive numerology; please note that I developed this system through the application of an important principle of Vedic Astrology.

The Basic and Period Numbers
The base for predictive numerology lies in the natural and functional qualities of the numbers and the zodiac. When astrologically viewed, every person has a zodiacal ascendant. Likewise, when seen from the numerological angle, every person has a basic number and a period number. Only these two numbers are mainly used in the predictive numerology and they are the prerequisites for predicting events.
What is the basic number?
A person’s basic number, also known as the numerical ascendant, is attained by adding the number of “birth date” and the number of “birth month“. For example, if you are born on the 21st day of August (the year is not mentioned as it is not part of calculations here), your basic number is 2. See how it is calculated:
Number of the day: 3 (21=2+1=3)
Number of the month: 8 (August is 8th in the series of 12 months from January to December)
3+8 =11=1+1=2 (It should always be converted into a single digit)
Specialty of 5, 6, 9 as the basic numbers
Take the numbers 5, 6, 9, all the other numbers own only single signs (refer to section 2 in lesson 2), yet these three numbers have lordship of two signs each, and when you get one of these three as the basic number, you may doubt as to which one of the two signs owned by it should be treated as the basic number. For example, you may get the basic number as 5 from a person’s birth date. Number 5 owns 2 signs, of which one is negative and the other is positive. In such a situation, you cannot go by a random method, but you have to find out the solar or numerical month in which the person is born. If the month represents a positive sign, take 5 positive as the basic number. Or if the month represents a negative one, take 5 negative as the basic number.
The following calculation will make things much clearer: If a person is born on September 5, his basic number is 5 positive.
Number of Date + Number of Month
5 + 9 = 14 = 1+4 =5 Since this birth date falls in the numerological month (August 24–September 23) which is positive, the basic number becomes 5 positive. When the basic number is 5, 6, or 9 owning two signs, and the numerological month is that of 2 and 1, which are both positive and negative, you have to adopt the following method and should not take into consideration the numerological month: if the birth date falls with in the first fifteen days of the month, take the positive one as the basic number, but if the birth date is on or after 16th of the month, take the negative one as the basic number.
What is the period number?
A person’s period number is obtained by adding the number of the birth date and the number of the numerological month in which he is born. If you are born on August 21 (again, the year is not mentioned as it is not part of calculations here), your period number is 4. See how it is calculated:
The day falls in the numerological month of 1 representing Leo whose period is from July 23 to August 23.
Number of birth date: 3 (21=2+1=3)
Number of numerological month: 1 (3+1=4; it should always be converted into a single digit) Why is the year of birth not considered?
One may wonder why the number of the year is not considered in the calculation of either the basic number or the period number. It becomes clear that this is not useful when considering that the year of birth is never repeated in anyone’s life. On the other hand, date, month and numerological month are often repeated in everybody’s life. For example, take a person is born on August 15, 1989. In his life, he may come across many August months and many dates of 15 in addition to many numerological months of the same number but he never sees the year 1989 again. As a result of this, the role played by the year of birth is nil in predictive numerology and the year number is avoided.
As already discussed in lessons 2 and 3, a person’s general nature and characteristics are decided by the number of the date on which s/he is born and the number of the numerological month in which s/he is born. Again, the year of birth plays no role. Please note that these two numbers are obtained to be used in predictive numerology only and not anywhere else.
Periods of Numbers
Before proceeding to work on these numbers, we must learn about the periods of numbers. In the age-old Indian Vedic astrology, a time tested method known as the Vimshottari period system is used for knowing and predicting the future events. It has already been pointed out that the numbers cannot act independently but they, as the true representatives of the planets, inherit their qualities and pass on the same to mankind. Along with the qualities and characteristics of the planets, the numbers inherit their periods also. The following are the periods of various numbers as inherited from the respective planets:

The order of periods
Now we shall study how these periods operate. While counting money, buying things from a shop. or withdrawing money from a bank (or for anything else where counting is used), we use the numbers starting from one. This means that number one always comes first, followed by two. Two is always followed by three, to be followed by four, and so on. We do this intentionally and counting is done from one. But do these numbers, whenever they act, act one by one in order, as we do the counting, like number one is followed by two, and two followed by three, and so on?
No! They never act in order as we do so intentionally. Is the same winning number repeated in races daily? Did you ever find the serial numbers of winning horses on a single day to be in serial order like 1, 2, 3 and 4 and so on? Did you ever get the cinema hall tickets or train tickets containing serial order numbers during your two regular visits to a cinema hall or train journeys?
You can never say “yes” to such questions, as numbers have a tendency to act at random. In such circumstances, it is also very difficult to say that the periods of numbers operate in serial order. For example, a person who completes the number one period has to enter the phase of the number two period, and after that pass through the number three period, if one goes by the serial order. As it is not possible for the periods of numbers to act in such a serial order, a system is needed to be used in predictive numerology.
Each and every human being normally undergoes nine different phases in his or her life, and each number represents a different phase of life. We have already discussed the various characteristics of numbers in detail in lesson number 2. At this time, please note the chief characteristics of numbers:

Youthfulness energyFor any human being, first comes origin or creation (1) followed by maturity (2). After this follows youthfulness (9) in order to reach a phase of separation (4) (through marriage or profession). Then the person progresses (3) in life to accumulate wealth, only to be affected later by the feelings of loneliness (8) as if he or she has distanced himself or herself from his or her parents, brothers and sisters and native environment. Then is the time for anyone to think of what is good or bad, and it makes him or her more and more intelligent ( 5 ). As the person grows in age and maturity, philosophical tendencies ( 7 ) also grow along with him or her. Finally, when the person gets old, he or she rests pleasantly thinking of love and peace (6) and nothing else.

Yet, it must be noted that a number 1 man or woman always considers a number 5 person, male or female, as a neutral person only. Specialty of 5, 6, 9 as the basic numbers
Take the numbers 5, 6, 9, all the other numbers own only single signs (refer to section 2 in lesson 2), yet these three numbers have lordship of two signs each, and when you get one of these three as the basic number, you may doubt as to which one of the two signs owned by it should be treated as the basic number. For example, you may get the basic number as 5 from a person’s birth date. Number 5 owns 2 signs, of which one is negative and the other is positive. In such a situation, you cannot go by a random method, but you have to find out the solar or numerical month in which the person is born. If the month represents a positive sign, take 5 positive as the basic number. Or if the month represents a negative one, take 5 negative as the basic number.
The following calculation will make things much clearer: If a person is born on September 5, his basic number is 5 positive.
Number of Date + Number of Month
5 + 9 = 14 = 1+4 =5 Since this birth date falls in the numerological month (August 24–September 23) which is positive, the basic number becomes 5 positive. When the basic number is 5, 6, or 9 owning two signs, and the numerological month is that of 2 and 1, which are both positive and negative, you have to adopt the following method and should not take into consideration the numerological month: if the birth date falls with in the first fifteen days of the month, take the positive one as the basic number, but if the birth date is on or after 16th of the month, take the negative one as the basic number.
What is the period number?
A person’s period number is obtained by adding the number of the birth date and the number of the numerological month in which he is born. If you are born on August 21 (again, the year is not mentioned as it is not part of calculations here), your period number is 4. See how it is calculated:
The day falls in the numerological month of 1 representing Leo whose period is from July 23 to August 23.
Number of birth date: 3 (21=2+1=3)
Number of numerological month: 1 (3+1=4; it should always be converted into a single digit) Why is the year of birth not considered?
One may wonder why the number of the year is not considered in the calculation of either the basic number or the period number. It becomes clear that this is not useful when considering that the year of birth is never repeated in anyone’s life. On the other hand, date, month and numerological month are often repeated in everybody’s life. For example, take a person is born on August 15, 1989. In his life, he may come across many August months and many dates of 15 in addition to many numerological months of the same number but he never sees the year 1989 again. As a result of this, the role played by the year of birth is nil in predictive numerology and the year number is avoided.
As already discussed in lessons 2 and 3, a person’s general nature and characteristics are decided by the number of the date on which s/he is born and the number of the numerological month in which s/he is born. Again, the year of birth plays no role. Please note that these two numbers are obtained to be used in predictive numerology only and not anywhere else.
Periods of Numbers
Before proceeding to work on these numbers, we must learn about the periods of numbers. In the age-old Indian Vedic astrology, a time tested method known as the Vimshottari period system is used for knowing and predicting the future events. It has already been pointed out that the numbers cannot act independently but they, as the true representatives of the planets, inherit their qualities and pass on the same to mankind. Along with the qualities and characteristics of the planets, the numbers inherit their periods also. The following are the periods of various numbers as inherited from the respective planets:

The order of periods
Now we shall study how these periods operate. While counting money, buying things from a shop. or withdrawing money from a bank (or for anything else where counting is used), we use the numbers starting from one. This means that number one always comes first, followed by two. Two is always followed by three, to be followed by four, and so on. We do this intentionally and counting is done from one. But do these numbers, whenever they act, act one by one in order, as we do the counting, like number one is followed by two, and two followed by three, and so on?
No! They never act in order as we do so intentionally. Is the same winning number repeated in races daily? Did you ever find the serial numbers of winning horses on a single day to be in serial order like 1, 2, 3 and 4 and so on? Did you ever get the cinema hall tickets or train tickets containing serial order numbers during your two regular visits to a cinema hall or train journeys?
You can never say “yes” to such questions, as numbers have a tendency to act at random. In such circumstances, it is also very difficult to say that the periods of numbers operate in serial order. For example, a person who completes the number one period has to enter the phase of the number two period, and after that pass through the number three period, if one goes by the serial order. As it is not possible for the periods of numbers to act in such a serial order, a system is needed to be used in predictive numerology.
Each and every human being normally undergoes nine different phases in his or her life, and each number represents a different phase of life. We have already discussed the various characteristics of numbers in detail in lesson number 2. At this time, please note the chief characteristics of numbers:

Then is the time for anyone to think of what is good or bad, and it makes him or her more and more intelligent ( 5 ). As the person grows in age and maturity, philosophical tendencies ( 7 ) also grow along with him or her. Finally, when the person gets old, he or she rests pleasantly thinking of love and peace (6) and nothing else.

Now is the time for us to discuss the sub periods of numbers. If you consider the previously mentioned periods of numbers as their main periods, then the main period of each number is divided into several sub periods. These sub periods are very useful in predictive numerology. Please note that the first sub period in the main period of a number starts with the same number and the order of sub periods is the same as in the main periods.

For example, one can see from the above table that number 1 considers 2,3,4,7 and 9 as friendly numbers while it sees 6 and 8 as enemy numbers and 5 as the neutral number. One can find that the number 5 considers 1 as the friendly number. It should be understood from this that when a number considers another number as a friendly one, the latter should not necessarily reciprocate the former in the same manner.
When this is applied to people, a number 1 person, born on any date whose digits are equal to 1 when totaled, is considered friendly by a number 5 person, born on any date whose digits are equal to 5 when totaled. Yet, it must be noted that a number 1 man or woman always considers a number 5 person, male or female, as a neutral person only. This plays an important role in predicting relationships between people.

This lesson deals with the calculation part of the predictive numerology. Having gone through the details of the basic and period numbers, as well as initials of the main and sub periods in part 1, we will discover the calculation of said periods for predicting events. It also teaches the method for finding out the number period in which a birth or an event takes place.

Calculating the Periods
Now comes the question of calculating the periods. The period number is the yardstick for calculating the period in which a person is born. For example, a person‘s birth date is August 25, 1985.
His period number is: 3 (Date + Numerological month)Date: 25=2+5=7Numerological month: 5 positive (As the birth date falls between August 24 and September 23 in Virgo)7+5=12=1+2=3
This means that the person is born in the period of 3 which runs for 16 years. It can also be said that the person is born during the main period of 3. Since he was born in the middle of the year; he must have completed a part of the total of the 16 years represented by 3.
To calculate the completed part of the period for persons born in any month, a simple method is adopted. For this purpose, a full year (or a period of 12 months) is taken as the measurement. To put it another way, you have to consider that a full year is equal to a period of 16 years or 192 months. In this case, the person is born on August 25 and has completed 7 months and 24 days in the year. While calculating the completed part of the period, the number of days also should be taken into consideration.
In the case of people born in a number 3 period, a full year or a period of 12 months is equal to 16 years or 192 months. This implies that one month or a period of 30 days is equal to 16 months or a period of 480 days and one day is equal to16 days.
Now apply the following calculation: if a period of 12 months is equal to a total period of 16 years or 192 months, the period of 7 months and 24 days is equal to how many months and days?12 months =192 months7 months =?(7 x 192) : 12 = 112 months1 day = 16 days24 days = ?24x16 days = 384 days =12 months and 24 daysFor 7 months = 112 months For 24 days = 12 months and 24 daysTotally it is 124 months and 24 days, or 10 years, 4 months, and 24 days
This means that the person has completed 124 months and 24 days, or 10 years, 4 months, and 24 days in a total period of 192 months, or 16 years, leaving a balance of 5 years, 7 months, and 6 days. If you add this balance period to his date of birth, you will get the date by which he completes the number 3 main period. Likewise, you can go on adding the succeeding main periods or sub periods in the next main period.

This means that the person is born in the sub period of number 6 in the main period of number 3.
Why is the year considered?
For finding out the period completed in the main period at the time of birth, the year is taken as the measuring unit. You may want to know the reasons why the year or a period of 12 months is taken and not a week or a period of seven days. The answer is very clear: the period of a number is talked about in terms of years or months and not in terms of days or weeks. A year consists of 12 months and the number of zodiacal signs is also 12. The life giving sun also takes 12 months to complete a circle of the zodiac. Given this background, the measurement gives the correct calculation to find out the completed part of the period in the main period of a number.

In this section, we will learning some important predictive principles and gain a better idea about the extension of the predictive system. You may notice that the position of 3 contains the characteristics of 8,
the position of 5 the characteristics of 9,
the position of 7 the characteristics of 10 ,
the position of 9 the characteristics of 5,
and finally the position of 11 the characteristics of 6.
Why is it so? Why should the position of 3 contain the characteristics of 8? If you understand the logic and reasons leading to such a situation, the same can be applied to the other positions (5, 7, 9 and 11) as well.
Advanced numerology treats the 8th position from the basic number as a bad one as you have already seen. This 8th position changes depending on one’s basic number. If the basic number is 4, 5 positive becomes the 8th position.
If the basic number is 1, 7 becomes the 8th position. If the basic number is 5 negative, 8 becomes the 8th position. You must understand this very clearly.
Now, under a principle known as “position to position”, you have to count the 8th position from the 8th position. If you do so, the 3rd position from the basic number becomes the 8th position from the 8th one. As per this principle, the 3rd position also represents the traits of the 8th position.
Likewise, if you count the 9th position from the 9th position, it is the 5th one from the basic number, and it also contains the features of the 9th one. The 10th position from the 10th is the 7th one from the basic number, and the 7th also contains the features of 10th one. In the same manner, the 5th position from the 5th one is the 9th position from the basic number, and the 9th contains the characteristics of the 5th also. The 6th position from the 6th is the 11th one, and the 11th position also is equipped with the 6th position’s characteristics.
Destructive nature
You will find the trait of destructive nature in the positions of 2 and 7. Considering that these two positions contain several good things and not even a single bad thing, how can the positions of 2 and 7 be treated as possessing a quality of a destructive nature? Let us discuss the principle of negation.
As you have already seen, the first position contains a trait of “beginning”, and the 12th position contains a trait of “ending“. This means that the 12th position always tries to oppose and negate the traits and characteristics of the 1st position. This principle of negation can be applied to any position. When you apply this principle to the 8th position, treating it temporarily as the first, the 7th position becomes the 12th position to the 8th one. In that backdrop, the 7th position always tries to oppose and negate the traits of the 8th position whose main trait is longevity. As a result, the 7th position becomes destructive also.
The same principle can be applied to the 3rd position (which contains the traits of 8th position), too, under the principle of “position from position”. In a way, the 3rd position also contains the trait of longevity. Now, the 2nd position opposes and negates the 3rd position, under the principle of negation, and assumes a destructive quality, too.
Harassing nature of numbers
For certain numbers, other numbers turn into agents of harassment. Under this principle of harassment, the 11th position becomes a source of harassment for all movable basic numbers, the 9th position becomes a source of harassment for all fixed basic numbers, and the 7th position becomes a source of harassment for all dual basic numbers.
For example, a person’s basic number is 2. Since it is a movable basic number, the sign owned by 6 negative (11th position from the sign owned by 2) assumes the role of a harassing force. If the basic number is 1, representing a fixed character, the sign owned by 9 positive (9th position from the sign owned by 1) becomes a harassing force. If the basic number is 5 positive representing a dual character, the sign owned by 7 (7th position from the sign owned by the 5 positive) becomes a harassing force.
Dangerous Combinations
The following combinations of main and sub periods, or sub and main periods generally produce dangerous results during their periods:
