Lesson 1: Introductory Numerology
Welcome to the world of Advanced Numerology! In this lesson you will be learning various aspects relating to the origin of numerology, its growth and influence, a few details about the great numerologist Cheiro, the numerological impact in the tragic and untimely death of a talented Indian actress, defects existing in the present system of numerology, as well as various divisions and advantages of advanced numerology.

Origin, Growth, and Scope
Numerology is as old as our most ancient civilization. No one in fact knows the origin of the science of numerology but numbers are spoken of even in the ancient biblical literature and the Hindu mythological texts. As per the present records available, an identifiable history of numerology dates back to the Pythagoras period which runs between 569 and 470 B.C.
Pythagoras, a great sage, mathematician and philosopher of his times from Greece, had established a school in which he taught numerology, among other subjects. According to Pythagoras, the world is built upon the power of numbers and the system of the numbers works on the broader concept that the entire universe is composed of mathematical patterns.
It is said that all things can be expressed in numbers which correspond to universal vibrations. Therefore, all things, including names, letters, words, birth dates and birthplaces, can be converted into numerical values in order to determine personalities, destinies and fortunes of individuals.
Though numerology has been in use for hundreds of years in some form or other, it underwent a lot of change in modern times. Certainly, what you perceive as numerology today was not the same as taught, practiced, or propagandized by Pythagoras; more has been written and rewritten on the subject in this century than in all of the previous centuries.

Cheiro: 20th century teacher of numerology
The only person who is responsible for the fast spread of numerology during the last century is William John Warner, better known as Cheiro, who also went by the name of Count Louis Hamon. One of the most famous and colorful occult figures of the early 20th century, Cheiro was a clairvoyant who used palmistry, astrology, and numerology to make accurate predictions and who inspired hundreds of numerologists and astrologers the world over. He was the inspiration yesterday, is the inspiration today and will be the inspiration tomorrow. I am proud to announce, in all humility, that I have developed this course drawing inspiration from Cheiro, the Master of the Masters. Born at 10:53 LMT on November 1, 1866 in Dublin, Ireland, Cheiro had a vast following of famous European and American clients such as Mark Twain, Sarah Bernhardt, Mata Hari, Oscar Wilde, Grover Cleveland, Thomas Edison, the Prince of Wales, General Kitchener, William Gladstone, and Joseph Chamberlain. He spent his final years in Hollywood working for movies until his death on October 8, 1936.

The power and influence of numbers
Numbers are in fact used every day, and they are absolutely indispensable in our lives! Can you imagine any activity or situation that is not related to numbers? Buy a book in a shop! Look at your watch to know the time! Go to a bank to draw or deposit cash! Buy a ticket to travel! You do anything in your life, it has got something to do with numbers in one way or the other.
The knowledge of numerology is like an ocean but as easy to understand as you drink a glass of water. When properly understood and appropriately applied, it can be an instrument to avoid major disasters. For instance, advanced numerology clearly says that the double digit number 17 has something of spirituality and immortality in it. But the science also says that the number, when associated with the numbers 4 and 8, creates havoc. When these numbers work in tandem, it results in tragic accidents and loss of precious life.
The tragic death of a talented actress

You will be surprised to know the power of numerology if you assess the tragic and untimely death of Ms. Soundarya, the famous South Indian multi-lingual young actress, who became a victim of these numbers. On April 17, 2004, she took off for a small town in Andhra Pradesh via Hyderabad from a Bangalore based airport, in a 49, a nine year old American made mini plane, along with three others including the pilot. The day was a Saturday. The plane took off at 11.05 a.m. and it came down crashing and exploding at 11.08 a.m., killing all the four occupants. Let us explore the power of fours and eights which caused the plane crash:
The number of the date was 8 (17=1+7=8)
The number of people aboard was 4.
The age number of the aircraft was 4 (49 years=4+9=13=1+3=4)
The month number was 4 (if you count from January, April becomes 4)
The year number was 4 in the century.
The age number of the actress was 4 (it was revealed later that she was 31 when she died in the crash; 3+1=4)
The numerical value of the day – Saturday – was 8 (Saturday represents 8 in numerology)
The plane crashed exactly at the eighth minute of the hour.Here the double digit number 17 came in contact with fours and eights repeatedly and it resulted in the tragic death of the heartthrob of millions of Indian cinema goers. It is not without significance that the Director General of Civil aviation, Government of India, declared after a thorough investigation into the crash, that the crash would not have taken place had only three persons (including the pilot) taken off in the ill fated plane. He cited the reason that the plane's capacity was only four people but it carried more weight than the permitted one as it carried a drum of fuel in addition to the four victims. There is no reason to suspect that the Government Officer was equipped with the knowledge of numerology but certainly his argument carries weight as the influence of fours and eights could have been reduced drastically had there been only three persons in the plane.

The Defective System
Presently, the practice of numerology follows certain sets of principles obtained through deductions and additions of birth, month and year numbers, calculating the numerical values of the letters, vowels and consonants in a name and applying some more formulas based on these values. But it has no clear cut method of predicting the events.
The present period is witnessing a boom in numerology and a good number of numerologists are cropping up every day. Each of them differs vehemently from the other on the interpretation of numbers of destiny, challenges, pinnacles and other concepts. Several books have been written detailing the various concepts of numerology but all of them explain the same concepts in a slightly different way.
Whatever is the interpretation, one is forced to question the very logic of some of these principles and concepts as they are contradictory in nature. For example, think of the so called heart’s desire number which is obtained by adding up all the numerical values of vowels in a person’s birth name. It is said that the numerical values of the consonants in the same name, when added up, produce the personality number.
As per the view of several numerologists the world over, a person is always guided by a permanent desire or by a limited set of desires representing the heart desire’s number obtained as described above.
First of all, there is no limit to desires.
They change every second of the minute, every minute of the hour and every hour of the day depending on the circumstances. It is an universally accepted fact that a person’s thoughts or desires reflect his mind which echoes his heart. A thought or desire has its base in a mind which has a direct link with the heart. If the heart of a person thinks of or desires something, he will take a decision for the fulfillment of his thought or desire and then action follows. If action does not follow, what does it mean? It conveys that a decision has not been taken and that the thought has been abandoned or desire killed. When a thought has been abandoned or a desire killed, it no longer exists in the mind. And the heart no longer craves for it. It can also be interpreted that a thought or desire is postponed for a further date and temporarily it has been kicked out from the mind and heart. It may crop up or not in the person’s heart again.

What does all of this convey?
Desires can be many and changing even though a person’s heart is one. A person is never guided by a limited or certain set of desires. Given this background, what is the use of finding out a person’s heart desire number or minor heart desire number?
One can find at least some sort of logic if it is said that the total numerical value of the birth name of a person reflects his heart’s desire or something else. But one sees no whiff of logic when the name is split into two divisions of vowels and consonants.
The major defect
The major defect of the numerology, as it is studied or understood today, is that you cannot understand the true nature of a person completely or correctly, let alone think of judging or predicting events correctly, even if you read the bundle of numbers such as the life path number, expression number, minor expression number, heart’s desire number, minor heart’s desire number, karmic number, numbers of pinnacles and challenges, hidden passion and personality. Frankly speaking, one is bored of reading the endless list of numbers in detail as it leads to confusion. Apparently, it has no particular system or method through which one can guide oneself or the members of the public about the impending good or bad periods. Also events like marriage, job, promotion, change of residence or job, short or long distance travel, marital relations, falling sick or regaining health can not be conclusively predicted through the present method of numerology, as it is popular today.
The ABC of flawless Advanced Numerology
Advanced Numerology is the study of the secretive and occult side of the numbers.
